Every year some teams have to forfeit a game during the season. But, in 2009 it is getting ridiculous. There are at least 6 of them (for 11-man football) in
week 3 alone: (see list)
Bark River-Harris 1, Oneida Nation (WI) 0 (O. N. cancelled its varsity season)
Brimley 1, Posen 0 (Forfeit, 11-man)
Detroit Western 1, Detroit Southwestern 0 (Southwestern does not have any players practicing)
Lake Linden-Hubbell 1, Washburn 0 (Washburn has too many injured players)
Tekonsha 1, Burr Oak 0 (Burr Oak not enough players to play 11-man games))
Wyoming Kelloggsville 1, Wyoming Tri-unity Christian 0 (TUC cancelled it's season right before the season started)
Guess we'll have to wait until next week to see it this sad trend continues. There were 4 forfeits in each of week 1and 2.
