This is a great game to speculate about and anticipate for the next week. WLN is clearly much better than they've been in their short past. WLC is undefeated. WLN quarterback Jason Tucker has put up some great numbers - against Plymouth Salem and Walled Lake Western. The WLN offense has faired much differently against Howell, Lakeland, and last night against Kettering.

WLC has given up 24 points in 5 games including 2 shutouts. WLC defeated both Lakeland (30-12) and Kettering (35-6).

This game is at WLC and is the WLC homecoming. The future weather forecast says that it will be in the 50's on a clear. crisp, Michigan autumn night.........with a full moon.

Both teams are having fine seasons. They have played each other tough as freshman and jv - WLC winning both times. Many of players know each other. In short: THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF.

Prediction: WLC will possess the ball for a lot of time and grind it out keeping the WLN offense off the field. Both teams are capable of big plays but WLC is a bit more capable than WLN. Final Score: WLC 38 WLN 18

There seems to be an interesting analysis of the WLN and WLC games so far. If WLN hadn't (pick one or more) a. Turned the ball over; b. Got a penalty call against them; c. Stopped a big play; - they would have beaten Howell and Lakeland too and been 5-0.

Conversely, if WLC hadn't (pick one or more) a. Got a big play; b. Got a penalty call for them; c. Played an easy schedule - they wouldn't be 5-0.

We are five games into the season now. The way teams play at this point are not about coincidence. Penalties, big plays, etc., occur in every game. The teams that are winning have figured out how to deal with the ups and downs they encounter in each game.

This will be an excellent game that will include both good and bad penalties, big plays, and turnovers. At the end of those 48 minutes, I think WLC will be on top.
