And GR West Catholic might as well be listed D4/D5. This week they look to be largest in Div V as I altered the formula for picking the 39 4-3 teams.
Questions encouraged. Will respond to 'what ifs'
about particular teams.

Credit to Searn: I sort of questioned a few things about last week's Super 32, and I almost put "At least you don't have Portage Northern or
Central in here, which would be truly ludicrous". I followed your Combined rankings link to see that Prepseer has them at 24 and 25. That is a joke ... I
can see why you put some of the teams in that you did, even if I didn't agree with all of them, but having those 2 in the top 25 is a complete farce.

SOS has both Portages in his D2 top 2 so prepseer has at least one person with him. Plus I think on Calpreps one of them is mid 20's or so or were in the
past. That is why I like to look at multiple sources to get different opinions even if I disagree with them. This way you get a different perspective
sometimes on a team.

Searn,
I like your placement of Adams in your rankings for week 8. This week Adams goes to Lake Orion for what will truly be a "Back Yard Brawl". The Highlanders go into this game the clear underdog. Therefore should be ranked below an incredibally good Dragon team. Lake Orion since their loss to Hudsonville have gone undefeated and lately look unstoppable. Adams is rebuilding this year but are anchored by a big , physical senior laden offensive and defensive lines. If the Highlanders pull a huge upset over Lake Orion...your rankings are spot on with Lowell and Adams being the top 2 Division 2 teams in the state. Just my 2 cents! |

I think Portage Central is probably close to being a top 32 team. They've only lost one game, and that was in a rainstorm to a St. Joe team that has been
playing very well after getting their starting QB back. I wouldn't exactly call them a joke. Top 32? Maybe, maybe not. We'll know more when the
playoffs come.

Can't really argue with your lineup at all. Maybe your on a bit of a limb with Melvindale but that's nitpicking. I don't know if it's been
mentioned, but I found it interesting that your poll is one of the first to come out each week (so you're not a follower) and yet your poll most closely
mimics the "Combined Rankings". Does that mean that if all those other guys were to put their collective brains together they would come up with what
your brain alone has come up with!!!???!!! Dang, man! You're a GENIUS!! BTW, you still have two seats at EGR game if you choose to come.

Thanks!
I'm not even going to be able to make a local game Friday night ... but it would be fun to see EGR/Lowell again in the future. |

Maybe your on a bit of a limb with Melvindale but that's nitpicking EastGuru, what do you know about Melvindale? Obviously it isnt what Searn and I know!! Melvindale basically has a D2 college Offensive Line, and a D1 prospect at CB that plays all kinds of different positions. I'm really hopin Melvindale goes D3 and not D4. They'd be a real tough out for someone in D4. |

Give Melvindale their due. They just beat the the team that was supposed to dominate the league 35-0, on the road! This team is for real.
The O line averages 290# The QB has passed for over 1200 yds Their closest game was an 18 point win. If they go D4 the only thing between them and the title is Marine City, D3 well now thats a different story |

Well, I'll admit, I don't know ANYTHING about Melvindale and was going mostly on the historical strength of their league in general (in state
playoffs), which isn't really wise. I don't want to take anything away from them. I'll take back what I said and trust you guys' knowledge. If
they are as good as you say, I'd love to see them play EGR in the finals (if we make it). I just like seeing different teams.

Blotto98 wrote: I think you're giving MC way too much credit, and not enough to some other teams. I'd put money on West Catholic if they go D4. Three Rivers is usually tough, Holland Christian and Hamilton both lost recently, but I think have also played schedules that are a bit tougher. West Catholic should be a force in the playoffs no matter what division they're in.

MrObvious2 wrote: As a Marine City fan, I agree. Marine City is obviously a good team, but they haven't really played much competition yet. I wouldn't consider them the favorite to win D4 (but am not saying they can't compete for it), Melvindale or no Melvindale. |
