It was a great Halloween night. I passed out all 210 candies that we had purchased for the event. Then, I passed out 20 or so small chips bags that the family buys once in a while for a backup plan (after the 7pm deadline as well but I don't like to see kids go without). We purchased 48 Snickers, 36 Reese's Peanut Cups, 36 Kit Kats (the grandson's favorite), 30 combo pack consisting of Baby Ruth, Butterfingers, and Nestle Crunch plus 24 Fruit snacks and 36 Cheese Its. The Fruit snacks and Cheese Its were purchased for the first time to be "handed out" (I let the kids choose what they want LOL). The Cheese Its weren't too popular with the kids in my sub so it is probably doubtful that the family will buy them to hand out next year. As previously mentioned I have let the children choose what they want for decades now. I like to push the buttons on two of our displays that either sing or has sayings ("my beautiful candy" is one).
