Just cruising around the web. Started by seeing post here on the BCS for week 4. That led me to look at Sagarin. I set up a database using Sagarin @ USA Today after copying to spreadsheet. Went looking for conferences which Sagarin doesn't list.
I used ESPN to look at conferences and after placing all 246 of the teams in A or AA. After soring by conference, I started to look at the SEC (still on ESPN sites until further notice). The SEC has two divisions East & West and play all foes in their division, and then 3 teams from the other division. But one is fixed. Kentucky vs Miss St, Arkansas vs So Carolina, Tennessee vs Alabama, Florida vs LSU, Vanderbilt vs Mississippi, Georgia vs Auburn.
Well ESPN has schedules for 2002-2009. I was looking for conference wins & total wins by season, as well as who played who. Googled Florida and got GatorZone for 1998-2010. But looking for other schools are problematic. All schools have different - who woulda thunk it? - with their sites.
So looked to see if the site that does baseball-reference.com (one of my favorite research sites) had a college football equivalent (they do have pro football, pro & college basketball) but no luck.
Any suggestions?
