The majority of the state's perennially top programs don't throw the ball forty or fifty times a game. And you certainly wouldn't have seen Grampa Fracassa break away from his methodology, mainly because I don't think it would have worked in the Catholic League. I do know from conversations I have had with college recruiters that it makes them a bit nervous seeing a QB that has an offense built on their arm. They look at copious high school attempts as a breading ground for bad habits because nobody has a high school secondary that comes close to the talent these kids will see at the next level.

That being said, one can not deny that Jason has impressive talent. I think the grandfather/grandson combo at Rice would have produced a Warriors team that may have aired it out more than we've seen in the past, but not 40 or 50 times a game. Rice would have benefited from his talents for sure. But more significantly, I think Jason, under Coach Fracassa's tutelage, would have been a better quarterback.
