I was a bit disappointed that Coach TK decided to call it quits. I have always been a bit of a 'Cats fan ever since my cousin played WR for them earlier this decade. I am also surprised that Statman24 has not weighed in on this. It would be interesting to read his take on the situation given his close ties with the program.

BG, not much of a story here.
Coach Tab decided to step down after 10 seasons as head coach. I was privileged to work with him for 6 of those seasons. He simply decided it was time to move aside. I'm sure he had some personal reasons as well, but I didn't press him on those. I plan to keep in touch with him. He really is a great guy. Interviews for new coach begin this week. I look forward to working with whoever is selected (assuming they'll have me back). |

Thank you Statman. Good luck to him. He did a really nice job with The 'Cats over the years. They really had CC on the ropes last year. But my favorite
team of their's was the 2002 team (personal reasons)
I am sure there were personal reasons why Coach decided now was the time. Maybe he will be more comfortable in being forthcoming someday. Do you think he might coach elsewhere? Or are his ties to the community too strong to consider leaving? |

Well, before coaching at Novi, he was at Hartland. He has some ties to Riverview also (I believe he went to school there and played for them). I think
he'll sit back for a season or 2 at most... but who knows. This is in his blood... can't believe that he'll sit out too long.
